Popy.eu è uno spazio dove poter dare qualche informazione di me come graphic designer. Quando qualcuno mi chiede cosa faccio esattamente, be' cerco di spiegarlo, ma puntualmente sul viso di chi ho di fronte compare l'espressione di chi ha le idee confuse...Non è infatti facile spiegare che cosa fa un graphic designer a chi è totalmente digiuno del sottore, è per questo che a me piace sintetizzare con poche parole sfruttando una definizione che un prof. mi disse ai tempi della scuola: "siamo tecnici della comunicazione visiva". Una spiegazione chiara e concisa che utilizza parole alla portata di tutti, niente paroloni o termini inglesi poco comprensibili. In effetti è di questo che ci occupiamo; di comunicazione, attraverso l'uso dell'immagine. E la parola *tecnico? a me piace molto perchè identifica una figura ben precisa, che ha conoscenze tali da poter intervenire poi sul lato pratico di un problema. In effetti io sono una persona pratica, semplice, spesso curiosa e precisa quando serve. Mi piace affrontare ogni progetto con metodo e razionalità, per poi lasciare spazio alla creatività. Pulizia e rigore estetico mi caratterizzano, anche se ogni lavoro necessità di un codice comunicativo che sia il più adatto possibile allo scopo che sta alla base del lavoro stesso, facendo si che esso non sia solo "bello" ma funzionale.

Popy.eu is a place where you can find information about me as a graphic designer. When someone asks me what I do exactly, well, I try to explain it but every time the expression of confusion appears in the face of who is in front of me. It is not easy to explain what are the tasks of a graphic designer to someone extraneous to the context. It is for this reason that I like to summarize it with few words from a definition a teacher told me: “we are technicians of visual communication”. A clear and concise definition that uses common words; avoiding big words and technical terms difficult to understand. Honestly this is what we are concerned on, communication through the use of the image, but what about the word *technician? I like this word so much because it identifies a precise figure, which has knowledge that can be applied on the practical side of an issue. In fact I am a practical person, simple, usually curious but precise when needed. I like to tackle each project with methods and rationality, leaving room to creativity. Cleanliness and aesthetics characterize me, even if each work needs a special communication code the more specific to the aim of the work itself. This leads to a work not only "beautiful but also functional.
